    Dog Friendly Restaurants In Jacksonville

It’s no secret: We. Love. Dogs. We do not discriminate. Honestly, what is better than coming home after a long day to a pup who is always just as excited to see you, whether you’ve been gone for five minutes, or five hours?

If there is one thing we love ALMOST as much as our furry companions, it’s food. Yet again, we do not discriminate. We thoroughly enjoy the vast array of cuisine that Jacksonville has to offer. Dog people love spending time with their pals, but unfortunately, long work days or busy schedules can play a big part in condensed quality time. Perfect scenario: checking out some of Jacksonville’s best eateries, dog in tow. This is totally possible, even welcomed. This is one of the many reasons we love Jacksonville! All across our city, restaurants are opening their doors to humans and canines alike, so we can all enjoy our two favorite things at the same time.

Here is a list of some of our favorite woof-friendly establishments.

The Brick Restaurant– Located in the heart of Avondale, this restaurant features a modern take on American Cuisine. It is self-proclaimed as Jacksonville’s elegant, yet casual dining experience. They are extremely pet friendly, as they will provide your pup with a bowl of water, and a treat!

Taverna– Voted a 2016 Bold City Best, and located in San Marco, Taverna serves up modern interpretations of hand crated Italian recipes, such as margherita pizza, house made ravioli, and calamari. One of our favorite menu items is the braised short rib! This delicious restaurant serves lunch and dinner. Water and treats are available upon request.

Harpoon Louie’s– This place has something to offer for everyone. Located in Riverside, Harpoon Louie’s has most anything and everything. From burgers to salads, to delicious appetizers such as fish nuggets and fried pickle chips, their menu is sure to please. Their outdoor seating has great shade, making it a perfect place for your pup to relax.

Orsay– Located in Avondale, this restaurant features a classic French cuisine. Featured in Florida Trend Magazine, and named one of Urban Spoon’s most popular restaurant bars in the United States, this place lives up to its hype. If you’re in the mood for renowned food, such as a great charcuterie plate, shepherd’s pie, or escargots, bring your dog, and dig in. Water provided.

Uptown Kitchen and Bar– Can we say “amazing fried chicken”?! Located in Springfield, this restaurant has such a cool menu, and great pricing. Some of our favorite menu items are, as we mentioned above, fried chicken, deviled eggs, and veal ricotta meatballs. Load up your pup and enjoy relaxing on their front covered patio, while you taste all the goodness that this place has to offer. Water provided.

Last but not least, we cannot forget dessert!

Bruster’s Real Ice Cream– This ice cream shop is located in Mandarin, and it features ice cream in waffle cones, frozen yogurt, sundaes, cakes, pies, shakes, and other specialty items. Currently, they are serving up warm apple dumplings, and pumpkin ice cream! Our favorite part is that they will whip up a free sundae with dog bones crumbled on top, for your furry friend!
